Heading Over to Phillipsburg, Sint Maartin

We take a quick drive over the Phillipsburg, on the Dutch side of the island.  The city is deserted with no cruise boats docked today.  It's peaceful and serene.

Quiet on the Boardwalk

Quiet on the water and in town

We're used to seeing the boardwalk packed with people from the ships and vendors selling food, beach merchandise, and beach chair rentals.  No one is out today.  We have the place to ourselves and can choose any [open] restaurant for lunch.

We see some of the hurricane damage that has yet to be repaired.

Work in process

Looking out at the water, the scene is beautiful and quiet.  We walk along the boardwalk, the length of the beach and back, enjoying the sights.
