Dining in Grand Case

Grand Case is considered by many to be the culinary capital of the Caribbean.  The village is home to an amazing number of restaurants ranging from local eateries to incredible dining experiences.  We visit a few old favorites and try some new places on this trip.

As we walk into town for our first meal, we spot Calmos Cafe, recently reopened after being closed for several years after the hurricane, and wander in to see what it is about.  We are intrigued and make a reservation to come back in a few days.

We continue down the street and dine at Quai 58, a small spot on the water, consuming ahi tuna and avacado, a chicken burger, and fish and chips,

The next day, we return to an old favorite, Oceans 82, where we dine on escargot, trio pulpo (octopus), mahi farci, fillet wellington, and scallops with duck, ending with a shared profiterole.

A day or so later, we get to Calmos Cafe to see if the food is as good it looked when we first walked by.  Yes, it is!  We have spaghetti vongole (clams) and margret de canard (duck), followed by a molten chocolate delight.

We're dining well and we're just getting started!
