Rüdesheim am Rhein

Rüdesheim is a small wine-making town on the Rhine, in Germany's Rheingau region.  We arrive in the late afternoon and stroll around this delightful little city.

We wander the narrow streets, many packed with great-looking, terrific-smelling, and truly-inviting  restaurants.  This is a city made for strolling.

Some of the buildings use whimsical art to decorate their walls and attract the attention of passers by, including the painting on the old fire station of people passing buckets of water.

Back at the Rhine, we return to the park and wind up our day.
