Food Court at Printemps, Paris

We've heard of the new food hall, Printemps du Goût, that opened earlier this year at the main Printemps store on Boulevard Haussmann and we stop in to see what it's about.  The advertisements show two floors of French Gastronomy, coordinated by famous French chefs.

On our way up the escalator to Printemps du Goût on the 7th and 8th floors, we see a true sign of summer: beach toys.

Reaching the Gastronomie floors, we first look at the gourmet food for sale in the center section, ranging from canned vegetables to complete picnic baskets full of goodies and, of course, fine wines and champagnes.

Along the sides of the building, with views of Paris, are small high-end food stalls with wide-varying cuisine, selling food for a great dining experience here or to go for later pleasure.  We visit in the mid-morning and everyone is busy preparing for the crowds to come over the next few hours.

The individual dining areas are small, with expansive views of the city.

And, when the weather is conducive, one can step outside, dine, and view the city.

On our way down from the floors of Gastronomy, we pass through a garden of spring flowers delighting us all as we descend on the escalator.

This food hall has it all.  Between the great tastes here at Printemps and those at the Galeries Lafayette food hall on the other side of Boulevard Haussmann, one could dine incredibly for quite a while!
