Bainbridge Island is across the sound and a short 35 minute ferry ride from Seattle, offering great views of the city. We come up from Bremerton, to the south, and cross the Agate Pass Bridge onto the island, driving around and see lots of beautiful sights along the water.
Views along the water
Spectacular houses are positioned to view the sound and, often, Seattle itself.

And, the cherry blossoms are blooming
Approaching the ferry terminal, we find a lot of activity and ships going back and forth.

Crossing over to the other side of the island, we find more beautiful water views and houses built to exploit them.

Returning to the ferry, we drive on board and head over to Seattle.
Our ferry leaves
Heading out, we first get fabulous views of the eastern side of Bainbridge Island.
View from the sound
Soon Seattle approaches and we watch the city develop ahead of us.
Seattle approaches
Our ferry is fairly empty in the mid afternoon and we can envision how it will fill up at other hours carrying commuters, vacationers, and weekenders back and forth to the island.

And, in the distance, Mount Rainier
Now to poke around Seattle a bit and then return home.
