Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris

The Louis Vuitton Foundation started in 2006 as an art museum and cultural center sponsored by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), the world's largest luxury goods company, and is run as a legally separate, nonprofit entity.  The art museum opened in 2014, designed by Frank Gehry, located in the Bois de Boulogne park in the west of Paris.  As we walk through the Bois de Boulogne, the fabulous building emerges from the forest.

Inside, we wander from gallery to gallery, absorbing the museum's collection, a combination of works owned by LVMH and by Bernar Arnault, its chairman and chief executive

 Wandering through the galleries

We emerge on the buildings roof to find more of the great exposed structure of the building and more exhibits sitting on the roof, open to the air

Descending from the roof, we wander a bit more and then head out into the park, leaving behind this fabulous place.  We've been meaning to come here for several years and finally made it.  We're truly glad we did.
