Tulip Festival at Keukenhof

The annual Tulip Festival is in full swing at Keukenhof Tulip Garden, approximately 45 km (28 miles) from Amsterdam and we head over to see the show.  The Tulip Festival is held every spring and features more than 7 million tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths filling 32 hectares (79 acres) with color and fragrance.  There are over 800 varieties of tulips alone!

The park features 15 km (9 miles) of paths connecting the flower gardens, ponds, and pavilions, all beautifully arranged for an incredible experience.

In addition to the flower garden, Keukenhof is also the largest statue garden in the Netherlands, featuring the work of national and international artists beautifully integrated into the landscape.

But, we're here principally for the tulips and we find them everywhere in the park!
